This workshop was a collective assembly and decoration of the ofrenda as we prepare to receive our departed loved ones this Día de Muertos. In this final Xandú workshop, we will explore the rich symbolism of the elements of the altar and the ways in which we honor our ancestors and loved ones.

Participants were invited to share their memories, write poetry or bring items to place on the altar, such as: a loved one’s favorite candy or soft drink, a photo or perhaps a toy… letting them know that they will forever be in their hearts and thoughts.
